This and That: Five Things

As this week comes to a close, I am reflecting on five little things that have made my week a little bit more colorful. As I am figuring out my new role and routine as mom, it truly is the little things that make a big difference day to day. See my top-five favorites below.

1. The perfect lipstick

I have been wearing Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk Matte Lipstick all week. This color is perfect for day or night and it gives my face a little color since I rarely have time to wear any makeup these days when I try to get out of the house. Bonus: this color is super long lasting and does not dry my lips out. Love it!

2. A good-for-you fragrance

I have been obsessed with Phlur fragrances for a while now. These fragrances are for men and women and they are hypoallergenic, cruelty-free, vegan, sustainably sourced and packaged with recycled materials. Additionally, all fragrances are free of parabens, phthalates, BHT, phenoxyethanol and nitro musks. It is nice to find some “clean” beauty alternatives! The newest scent to their fragrance collection is called Ameline and I just started wearing it this week…it is amazing. Want to try out Phlur for yourself? They have a pretty amazing referral program! You can try three scents for $18, but I am sharing a $10 off referral link. If you find a scent you like, the $18 goes towards a full size bottle. I already have my mom and aunt hooked! Check it out here!

3. A little caffeine

Being a mom of a newborn means I am running on very little sleep. An afternoon pick me up is essential on the daily and I recently found this gem yesterday when I hit up the grocery store. Yes, I am a basic b*tch and yes, I love pumpkin spice. This nitro latte gave me a little pep in my step and I loved the seasonal flavor.

4. A fun read

I recently found this book at a local store and it is filled with fun, party ideas. I loved finding creative inspiration for hosting and parties. This book is filled with beautiful illustrations and delicious recipes. I look forward to hosting a get-together soon and this book is now a coffee-table staple in my sitting room so others can flip through be inspired.

5. (Mom’s pick) Multi-use nursing and stroller cover

My friend, Raquel, purchased this multi-purpose item off our baby registry and we have been using it every time we go out of the house with the stroller. Not only do we put this over the stroller to keep direct sunlight (and germs) away from our babe, we have used it as a blanket several times when we are out and about the weather cools off to keep the chill away from Marley. The material is super soft and there are so many prints to choose from. This is a must for all moms with little ones!
